In addition to providing the highest quality building and property solutions, J. Medlow Ltd also aspire to use our influence as a local business to positively impact upon the community around us.
Please explore below the various ways that our organisation is getting involved with the local community.

Regularly swimming in the Solent and other locations around the country, we have seen first hand the increasing issue of plastic in our oceans. As a result we are aiming to reduce the amount of plastic we use as a company.

Therefore we are very excited to be involved with the Final Straw Foundation, a community organisation who are aiming to reduce the amount of plastic entering our local seas.

The UK and USA throw away 550 million plastic straws a day according to The Final Straw... we want to help to reduce this!

It's probably fair to say that everyone has a soft spot for whales and dolphins and that include us, but our eyes were opened to a very important issue after we recently watched the documentary 'Blackfish'.

Despite increasing pressure, many whales and dolphins still remain in captivity, exploited and made to perform for entertainment which has been proven to be damaging to the health and wellbeing of the animals.

J. Medlow Ltd are trying to do their bit to help. By raising awareness and money where possible a number of organisations are now putting pressure on SeaWorld and other entertainment parks to work towards the safe release of these amazing creatures back into the oceans where they truly belong.

In recent years Jon has become an avid sea-swimmer and triathlete. Presently Jon competes up and down the country in various events.

He has completed some extremely tough challenges. Including completing the Windermere One Way which is an 11 mile swim and by also completing the IronMan Wales event. This event included 2.4 miles of swimming, 11 miles of cycling and 26.2 miles of running!

Jon now hopes to use his participation in these events to raise awareness of the local and national charities and community organisations that we support.

Jon has just completed the Great South Run 2021 to support Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event has grown from humble beginnings in 1990, with 2,000 runners to over 20,000 people taking part in the world's leading 10-mile run in Portsmouth, raising millions of pounds for charity. Runners take in the sights of the iconic Spinnaker Tower, passing through the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with the iconic HMS Warrior and HMS Victory in view, before crossing the finish line on Southsea Seafront, overlooking the Solent.
